Skincare Spotlight: CLEANSERS

Cleansing is the very basic & most important step of any skincare routine, but with so many options on the market, it can be overwhelming to choose the right one for your skin. That's why we're here to break it down for you and simplify the process.

To make things easier, let's categorize cleansers into two main types: Oil-based and Water-based.

 Oil-Based Cleansers:

Oil-based cleansers, such as oils and balms, are your go-to for effectively removing makeup and SPF without stripping your skin. They're gentle yet powerful, making them ideal for all skin types.

How to Use:

  • Use at night as your first cleanse, followed by a water-based cleanser.

Water-Based Cleansers:

Water-based cleansers come in various forms, including gel cleansers and milky/creamy cleansers.

Gel Cleansers:

Perfect for normal, oily, and acne-prone skin, gel cleansers effectively remove impurities without leaving your skin feeling tight or dry.

How to Use:

  • Use at night as your second cleanse, after the oil-based cleanser.
  • In the morning, it can be your only cleanse.

Milky/Creamy Cleansers:

Ideal for normal, dry, dehydrated, sensitive, and mature skin types, milky/creamy cleansers provide gentle yet nourishing cleansing.

How to Use:

  • Use at night as your second cleanse, following the oil-based cleanser.
  • Also suitable for morning use.

Ingredients to Avoid:

When selecting a cleanser, steer clear of harsh surfactants like SLS and SLES, as they can strip the skin of its natural oils and compromise the skin barrier.

The Importance of pH Balance:

Look for cleansers that are pH-balanced to maintain the skin's natural acidity. All the cleansers in our curation are pH-balanced, free of harsh surfactants, synthetic fragrances, and colorants.
